In compliance with Health Code standards, meals are currently being prepared by individual volunteers in their own homes, and transported to the Learning Center to be dispersed. Once funded, the commercial kitchen will replace the present food provision facilities, and allow a substantial increase in the Center’s capacity to actually prepare and serve the students in-house.
Thank you for taking an interest in the lives of Huntsville’s inner city children. The Center is run entirely on charitable contributions, & we would love to have you on our team. Please prayerfully consider a one-time donation, or investing monthly. We are seeking corporate partnerships to spearhead the next phase of our development & hope you join us in this endeavor.
Completing homework is the first step toward success in school. We teach children the importance of successfully completing their homework not only to improve performance in school, but to teach them responsibility in daily life. Reading is the number one skill used every day. We help students develop strong reading skills and grow their confidence.
If you are a professional with a heart for instilling basic life skills in our youth, we would like to welcome to you teach an afternoon workshop at the Center. Thursdays are considered our field trip days, whether in-house or out in the community, and we would love to have you. Bankers, doctors, dentists, bible teachers- we are very open to creative ideas.
